I don't know why but I was expecting something more detailed and longer. It is exactly the same with the preview. So if you check the preview out, you are done. You know what you are going to get. Probably that's why I thought it will be longer because the preview was already there.Apart from this, it is good for a beginner. But I am really not sure if it is necessary. The letters on it are too small if you want to put it on a wall or something. You can carry it with you to practice but it is really does not cover that much. So I am just confused about its function.Anyway, it still might be useful for others since it is a good, simple source which brings some very very basic issues together. Especially having different tenses in the same material is useful to me.

Most Quick Study grammar cards are excellent and systematically present information such as noun cases and verb tenses and conjugations. This card does not.Instead there are columns of trivia and arcane instructions, with a single example of each tense (if you're lucky). No explanation as to whether the conjugations are regular or irregular or if there even are irregular conjugations. No grid for easily comparing, say, first person singular conjugations across tenses. Practically useless.

This is useful and helpful but I wish the letters were larger. The size is small and hard to see. But what is on this quick guide is very good! Just needs to be a bit larger. I would recommend this.

Good layout but the print is a little bit too small to read.

Bought these to study and ended up using on my homework more than once as a helpful tool for exact spelling

I was expecting just a page (front and back) of very basic grammar rules. But it is actually a brochure which gives me three front and back pages. I love it! All of the grammar rules I've studied are in there with exactly the information I need to remember. There is also a bunch of other things that I haven't studied yet as I am only in intermediate Arabic. But I do plan on studying beyond advanced to the business level and I know this will be my handy dandy companion through it all.

What is the value of hearing her story in long form, I wondered when I purchased this book? Turns out, not a lot, really. She is a clear writer and a very upstanding person, but her story in this case is just too brief to take upA whole book.

As an avid podcast listener I never doubted that I would purchase and red this book. I've been following the Adnan Syed/Hae Min Lee case for quite some time now. Any opportunity to gather information will be taken.Asia Chapman's book was no exception. I purchased because I wanted to hear Asia's story. And that's exactly what this book is. Her story, her perspective in HER words.It's evident from the beginning that this story has not been heavily edited. I didn't see any evidence of a ghost writer or professional editor at all. The tone is conversational and heavy with slang. If I had purchased this book for entertainment purposes I would have been dissatisfied. It is certainly not a novel, but rather a firsthand account of incidents relating to the prosecution of a murder case. I purchased because I was willing to pay for Asia's raw account.Honestly, I believe that the information shared could have been just as easily published in a blog format. And the author could have saved herself much criticism had she done just that. The book reads nearly like a diary, which I believe it began as. I do wish more time had been taken to polish the story to make it easier to read. Regardless, in my opinion the author has every right to compensation for her time and trouble with regard to this case.I would recommend the book to anyone wanting a first hand account of Asia Chapman's perspective with regard to the Adnan Syed/Hae Min Lee case and trial. While it would hold the attention of anyone who has followed this case it would be of little interest to anyone else.

Book is good, just finishing it. I must say there are dozens, maybe hundreds of editing errors. Also, Aisa really thinks a lot about herself! I really liked her until I read her “the whole world thinks I’m amazing and famous” book!

I've read and listened to all things Serial related. Asia wrote this to set the record, and her side of the story, straigh, and I respect that. She didn't ask to be dragged into Serial, and we get a sense of how she was blindsided by the series and its notoriety, as well as by her interactions with Sarah Koenig. This is by no means a literary work, but I do not feel it should be judged as one. If you want a little more of an inside scoop about Woodlawn High back in the day, or are still interested in Adnan's case, the book is worth getting.

This book is definitely for Serial fans and she writes as if you've listened to the podcast.What it is: Asia McClain telling her side of the story. Written in a direct and colloquial way, she writes as if she's talking to a friend. Definitely feels honest and not contrived. I applaud her wanting to take control of her narrative. As a Serial fan I know I was too hard on her early on. I had a lot of assumptions and this book gave some explanations that made me understand what happened and her unique experince.Good for her! As long as you don't have the expectation that she's a professional, more polished writer I think a Serial fan or someone interested in the Adnan Syed case will enjoy.

Easy read, nice to read her point of view and ready for her next novel.

I liked getting her side of the story. The story exposes all of us as human beings whose memories fade sometimes, but can be the window into someone else life.

Great look into someone affected directly by the Serial podcast and what it's like to participate in court proceedings. Grateful to get to know the person who came forward to tell the truth. If you are interested at all in Adnan Syed's story, this is an essential read.

There are two interesting recent books out that detail the vast scope of WWII. I've bought both (and read other histories of the war), and can give some details as to their differences.This book is a typical descriptive historical narrative of the war. It is great single source for those who haven't read a comprehensive history of it. It fairly and with good balance describes the political background and military events and while the writing is somewhat prosaic it is not 'dry', and it gives a well detailed overview of the events.Hastings book "Inferno" (published in Britain as "All Hell Let Loose") carries with it a lot more personal observations from diaries, letters, etc of the participants, and clearly is written with the authors own subjective interpretation or points of view on the events, rather than being a pure description of the historical events. The writing is more elegant and provocative, as befits the journalist background of the author.If one has no knowledge of this titanic struggle I would start with Beevor's book so as to capture the events and timelines as they historically occurred, written in a very readable manner. On the other hand if one is familiar with most of the history I would recommend Hasting's book as a source of opinionated (but supported) insight, along with the many descriptions of the war by participants that are included in his narrative and relate to the historical events.Both are excellent in their own ways. They provide: 1)in the terms of Beevor's book a well written and accurate single volume historical description of the war and 2) in Hastings a more 'op-ed' description with personal stories of the conflict that he has derived from letters, diaries, interviews etc.

No author writing about WWII can cover the entire conflict in one volume without choosing to emphasize certain material and paying less attention to other material. After all, Churchill took many volumes to discuss his experiences and points of view. Having read enormous amounts of WWII material over 50 years, here are what I feel Beevor chose as emphases and which led to both the strengths and weaknesses of the book.Strength-- the detailed descriptions of the China-Japan conflict with more attention paid to it than in other one volume works...Strength-- An attempt, though overdone and repetitious, to discuss the use of rape and the casualness of killing civilians by all armies and at different intensities. War dehumanizes.Strength--Chapters on the Shoah (Holocaust) by shooting and by gas as two different and differentially organized events.Strength--Use of statements by common soldiers about what their experiences were on the different fronts. This is also a...Weakness--vastly overdone quotations from ordinary soldiers about their experiences. How many times did we need to hear about lice and trench foot? Once was enough and other instances could have been referenced to one original description. Repetitive and overdone.Weakness-- Horrendously judgmental character sketches of the major players written in a couple of sentences with no backup.Weakness--Overly focused on British activities.Weakness--Presentism--Judging the events of the past using perspectives unknown at the time of the events.Weakness- Beevor just does not like Churchill and commits character assasination at every opportunity. One wonders if he even read Churchill's memoirs of the war to discover his thinking.Weakness--Writing Roosevelt off as a naive lightweight.Weakness--the maps, oy vey, the maps. Beevor commits the sin of using maps that often do not have the units he writes about in the text present on the maps. He regularly makes statements like "it was obvious that General X had to attack on the line from A to B without either town on his maps. Frustrating!Weakness--Assuming that the US lack of desire to make troop movements to attempt to block the Red Army were silly and naive and the Cold War was the result. As the Italy campaign showed, attacks from the Mediterranean theatre might never have ended the war. And Russian troops had orders to start WWIII if we tried to take Berlin.Worth reading for its scope and unique contributions just don't swallow the human judgments and one liners about people's characters as gospel.

First of all, it is very comprehensive: the Author manages to give a robust overview both at a "macro" level, digging into major political events that shaped the War and at the same time to cover seemingly every single battle. This results in a great balance for a topic that could easily fill dozens of volumes.One of the most important aspects of this book is a very strong attempt to remain objective. The Author does a really great job here: there are no favorites and no "sacred cows." Mr. Beevor doesn't shy away from pointing out the opportunistic and erratic side of Sir Winston Churchill. He also has some good words for Stalin when they are due and he does a great job depicting the intricacies of the power struggle between the leaders of the Allies. And then, there is USSR, where tactical genius of Wehrmacht was countered with sheer number of people thrown into that meat grinder.As I indicated above, WWII means a lot to me and my family history. As someone hailing from USSR (and brought up in the gloss of the official propaganda about the War), I find this book very fair. The Author has no illusions on the dictatorship that country was and he does a good job demonstrating the very successful game Stalin played to ensure that USSR extended its sphere of interests far beyond its original borders. If there was ever a great example of applying Machiavelli in practice, this is definitely the one.Moreover, the book provides many detailed accounts for the one of the most suppressed and furiously opposed (by official propaganda) aspects of the Russian onslaught: the mass rape of women in Prussia and Germany. Soviet party line has always been that this was a lie coined by USSR's enemies and that incidents were extremely rare and always against the orders. The Author clearly dispels this lie with many detailed examples coming from many sources, showing that the War definitely exacerbated the best and the worst traits alike. The book gives an estimate of up to 3 million German (as well as their victims which included Jewish women and forced laborers) women raped over the course of that period.To summarize, I am extremely happy with this book. I find it fair to all sides (including the Axis) of the conflict, comprehensive and very detailed. This is a book I'll keep and will definitely read again. If you are interested in WWII, read it - you will not regret.

I absolutely love this book! It is very informative and really helpful for someone with psoriasis, eczema or any other skin issues . I initially met the author via Instagram and reached out to her as I had struggled with psoriasis for 4 years and she sent me some free information to start with. After feeling an improvement in my energy after trying out some of her suggestions, I decided to buy this book. Awesome! I recently made the Coconut Cardamom soup and it's delicious and hearty and filling. The layout of the book is very reader friendly. I love that the steps are not complicated so it makes following her recipes easy for me to follow since I absolutely detest following directions. LOL. The first part of the book is great information for anyone who's trying to make sense about what they need to avoid in order to bring down inflammation of their skin, the photographs of the food look absolutely divine and just a very easy book to follow and read. I have a few recipe books and this is the only one that I would actually look through and cook from because she has laid it out so nicely and easily. If you want to see a genuine difference in your health, this book is great! I have seen some dramatic improvements in my skin in about a month, and that's just from her suggestions. Now that I have the book, I feel empowered to make a difference in my own health and since there's so many recipes, it will never get dull in my kitchen. Thank you Hanna! You are as always an inspiration! P.S I love that the instructions for the recipes are only 1 page and the steps are so simple. :-)

If you are serious about controlling your psoriasis, this is the book for you! Not only the recipes, but the entire program Hanna uses. I can see the difference already, and in all honestly, I am not adhering to the program daily or eating just her receipes. I have tried everything, like everyone else, and for the first time in over 20 years I feel like I will be wearing capris and short sleeves by June.... I will review again then. I am so grateful to Hannah for the book, the chance to try something new, and her success pictures. She definitely is inspiring me to keep going!

I purchased this book as a “non aip” solution to my chronic inflammation in both my joints and body, not to heal any skin issues, because a friends husband had cured his psoriasis and joint pain with this diet. The dramatic results for me was life changing. I never once felt deprived or hungry, lost 20 pounds in 2 months, and no longer wake up sore in the morning. My eye inflammation is finally healing as well.This diet requires commitment (what diet doesn’t?!). Sourcing some of the foods can be hard, but I have been able to do it (or sub similar, healthy, ingredients when necessary). Basically, you need to commit to ditching, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, processed foods, gluten, dairy, meat and nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and the like) along with a few other things. This can be a challenge, but as you start to feel better, you can add things slowly back in and see how they affect you. I wish there was more about that “adding back in” process in the book, but a quick google “aip paleo” gave me some tips for that.The ingredients can also get expensive, but i consider it a medical expense and an investment in my future. Plus, my whole family—all 7 of us—are eating healthier foods!I recommend giving this diet a try if you have an autoimmune disorder and chronic inflammation—especially if you don’t eat meat or fish making a paleo autoimmune protocol hard to fit into your life. This plant based diet made a world of difference for me!

Hands down the best cookbook for people with eczema & psoriasis. The "high five" juice in the book is so good and the raw carrot cake is a game changer. I follow Hanna on Instagram and have even talked with her via email. She is an incredible soul who is dedicated in helping people.

This book is a GAME changer. The improvements in my skin are dramatic. The recipes are so delicious, you won't feel as you are missing out on anything. I eat as much as I want, I eat the desserts every day and have still lost 8 pounds! My stomach if flat again. The bloating is GONE. I've learned a lot of new and fun ways to prepare foods I love. I did the 28 day food plan some time ago and have still not deviated from the recipes. My husband loves the recipes as well even though he was skeptical initially. I would give more stars if I could.

The book is well-formatted and offers a ton of information however, it can be a bit contradicting at times (once you read it you'll get what I mean). Also, the font is very small, and super light in some parts of the book which may be annoying for those hard at seeing. Either way, being a long-term sufferer of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis I'm more than willing to try just about anything to rid my body of this horrible disease. I begin my detox cleanse next week, hoping to see some improvements over the next few months. I will provide an update in the near future. (Side Note: I think it would be beneficial if the author made suggestions of the medications she used and did not use during her recovery from Psoriasis and the affects they had during recovery time. I take Humira and I wonder if the biologic will interfere with the cleanse in any way... I know the author is not at bay to give medical advise, but for future reference it could be beneficial to readers if the medications (excluding steroid creams), if any, were at least discussed)

Excellent content. Excellent recipes. I would give five stars but for one significant flaw in the design. The text font is small and a VERY light grey color (not black) so it's practically impossible to read some of the pages. You'll need sunlight, a good lamp and glasses!

Working wonders on my skin! I love this book! If you are suffering from psoriasis, I def recommend this book and the diet plan. I am so happy I found this book. :)

I've read several reviews on this book, and only hesitantly selected it for a quick read. I was initially thinking that I'd write a review that simply said "if you like to read about poor decision making and guilt, then this book is for you." However, as the story progressed, I've found that it became a powerful and impactful plot line with rich characters and a number of unexpected twists. It was quite a pleasure to read and potentially one of the better books I've read recently.Some reviews have made claims to the effect that an astute reader may figure out the ending. I consider myself reasonably astute, but I was so far off on my theory that I was thrilled at the actual ending. I'm impressed if you can figure this one out; you're a much better detective than I am.The character development is surprisingly rich. It starts off fairly flat, but gains depth and complexity as the story evolves. The author switches perspectives each chapter, and terminates each one with a mini-cliffhanger, leaving the reader somewhat frustrated at the dangling threads. However, by the end of the book, the threads are all tied up.So, I highly recommend the book, and suggest that you stick with it through the beginning where the tone comes across as dreary and whiny. It more than pays off for your patience in the end.Enjoy.

I am really sick of the many, many mysteries that have become best-sellers lately which don't have any suspense or mystery in them.I feel like warning other people who love mystery not to bother -- unless you are quite forgiving and don't expect any real surprises or things that make sense.So, SOME spoilers*******The writing is flat, the characters are flat, but this didn't, at first deter me from reading it. Agatha Christie is not exactly a great prose writer, and she does manage to surprise the reader and to build interesting cliffhangers and plots.About 50% into the book I was getting a bit fed up, because there was NOTHING happening. There were chapters ending with stuff like "She couldn't tell anyone what she knew" or "He had done something disgusting" -- not exactly this, but this kind of attempt to create suspense.Well, if you do that, then DELIVER. Instead, it just kept going on, and on and on in the same vein, with us not finding anything else, just more of these from the same characters.One girl has a problem with an abusive dad (GROAN) and thinks he may have something to do with her friend's disappearance -- resolved off page. The dad of the disappeared girl has such a big secret he almost kills himself in a barn. The secret turns out to be so pathetic that I got mad at having to read his thoughts for chapters and chapters. Then, shoot, maybe the girl isn't dead, and we have several chapters of EVERYONE looking at the TV at some police negotiation with a kidnapper.But HEY, it isn't her. The way they saw that it isn't her is sooooo ridiculous that I laughed quite a bit.In the meantime, chapters and chapters about the woman who saw the girls on the train but didn't tell the police they went off with young men because she couldn't decide if that was slutty, dangerous or normal. She is supposed to be the main character and she goes on and on and on and on about her flower shop.Then about her son, who got his girlfriend pregnant. NONE of this has any bearing on the mystery.Then she hires a private detective because she is getting postcards saying "I'm watching you."A lot about the detective, his pregnant wife, their baby being born. Not a lot of detecting. Oh, also the "standard police trauma" (he shot an innocent kid) being introduced late in the game and in a perfunctory manner.There are some police people with a grudge against each other which means zilch to the investigation and changes nothing.Clues that are not clues (just people acting strangely) are given chapters and chapters and chapters to then mean nothing and often get resolved off book.About halfway into the story a POV in italics of the typical psycho ("I'm watching you...I don't like her to be watched...etc") gets introduced and is repeated in the same cliché way several times.FINALLY, the mystery is solved in the MOST RIDICULOUS POSSIBLE WAY. Not through anyone figuring anything out, not by the several police that have been introduced or the private detective -- but because the flower lady SEES A PHOTO.At this point I was covering my mouth in disbelief that any book that sells this much could be so awkward, badly written and unsurprising.Just think of the worst, most awkward episode of one of these TV series about crime. It will be better than this, because it will, at least, be forced to have clues and real suspects.I am AT A LOSS! Truly. I loved Gone Girl, I thought Girl on the Train was disappointing after 60%, this one was just a HUGE waste of time for anyone who truly loves mysteries and wants to follow clues, suspects and be surprised. If you're like that, give this a WIDE berth...

I think the author wanted to really get into the various characters, but I found the book very frustrating to read. What was supposed to be a hook at the end of many chapters, never led to anything. I really didn't care about the pages and pages of Ella's flower shop. It just seemed like filler. Something to fill pages. There was too much telling and not enough showing. Also, the mix of first person, then third person, was distracting.It's hard for me to get used to the British lack of tension in a mystery, if this is what this was. Using a knife as a weapon, though dangerous, isn't as scary as a gun. You can outrun, or outmaneuver a person with a knife, but it's hard to outrun a bullet. She tries to make the use of the knife seem really threatening. Maybe up close and if the assailant has a hold of you, but they have to catch you first. Any smart kid can dodge a knife. I just didn't find this very tension-filled at the end. Sorry for the spoiler alert.I found this an okay read, but I kept thinking, when is something going to HAPPEN! The author's attempts at ending chapters with a hook, left me frustrated. Nothing was revealed until the epilogue. If this is her style of writing, I probably won't read any of her other books. They make me want to throw it across the room, which I couldn't because it would break my Kindle.
